There wasn't much to laugh about in the Summer of 2020, but then a movie swooped in to fill that mirthless void. And that movie was Killer Raccoons 2: Dark Christmas In The Dark. For a few weeks in July and August, KR2:DCD was the #1 Comedy Film in America.
In this very special interview, The Boys sit down with Travis Irvine, the brains behind the scrappy indie powerhouse that took over theaters when we needed it most. We talk to Travis about the origins of the Killer Raccoons IP, working with unsavory creatures (Ron Jeremy) and what he has in store for the third (and final!) installment of the Killer Raccoons Trilogy. (Spoiler: The B.O. Boys will die in it!)
Travis is proof positive that the scrappy indie sensibility is alive and well in American Cinema and it can lead to Box Office Success.

(Note: Between the recording and posting of this episode, Mortal Kombat's weekend total has moved up to $23.3 Million and Demon Slayer's has moved to $21.1 Million)
Mortal Kombat and Demon Slayer battled it out at the Box Office with Mortal Kombat prevailing with $23.3 million. But Demon Slayer wasn't far behind at $21.1 million, and in almost HALF the number of theaters! We break down the demos for each, talk about how anime movies over-index and praise the demo who earned Mortal Kombat the fatality over Demon Slayer this weekend. (Hint: It's not who you think!)
Oscar, Oscar, Oscar... who won? We talk about the reasons this Oscar telecast is bound to be the lowest rated ever and theorize how much each Best Picture Nominee would have made at the Box Office in a non-pandemic year.

WOW!
Godzilla vs. Kong outdid all industry tracking to grab $48.5 in the 5-Day and $32.2 over the weekend. The Boys talk about what this means for theatrical, how did the HBOMax Day and Date availability affect the B.O. and who is the bigger star, Godzilla or Kong?
Plus, we divvy up the $48.5 Million dollar opening. How much does Kong get? What about Godzilla? Does Millie Bobbie Brown get her beak wet? Find out!
Also, The Unholy shocks Nobody to debut at #2. Is this a miracle, or the work of the devil?
Then, we look forward to next weekend. Will G v. K have a strong hold? Can Nobody rebound from slipping to #3? Will Voyagers make a dent?
B.O. IS BACK, BAY-BEEEE!
